How to Fix Discord Error 404 while Playing Valorant
A few days back, Discord acknowledged this issue and has said that they have rectified it from their end. They advised users to restart the client once to apply this fix after which, the underlying error should be rectified. However, that is easier said than done. Many users have already carried out the mentioned fix but it doesn’t work out for them. So what is the next course of action? Well, users took it upon themselves and did manage to grab hold of a nifty workaround that has indeed fixed the Discord 404 error while playing Valorant. All you need to do is head over to Discord Settings – Activity Settings Area – Game Overlay – Turn Off “Enable Game Overlay.” Now launch Valorant (or the game that was throwing this error message) and the issue would have been fixed.
Do note that this is only a temporary workaround that revolves around disabling one of Discord’s features. But many users are ready for this trade-off and hence have already implemented the aforementioned tweak. What are your views on the same?
