But in order to extract the watch’s maximum potential, you need to have the Health app installed on your Samsung device as well. This will then allow you to check out the workout intensity, state of sleep, heart rate, stress, the oxygen level in the blood, among others. Among them, the tracking of heart rate is among the most used feature. And this is probably its most buggy feature as well. There have been numerous instances in the past when it gave out inaccurate results, had a few syncing issues with the device or most concerningly, it was unable to properly track the heart rate. While it seemed that all these issues were slowly beginning to settle down, the South Korean conglomerate introduced one of its own.

What is the Issue with Heart Rate Graph in Samsung Health App

Earlier, the Samsung Health App used to display a Continuous Heart Rate Graph and it proved to be quite a beneficial feature. However, the OEM then released a new update versioned 6.19.1.001 for its Health app and gave it an unwanted overhaul. So this feature has been replaced with the average heart rate data that shows the maximum and minimum value over a particular period of time, rather than showing the live results.

The fact that it now displays average value has completely distorted the graph as well. All in all, Samsung has just destroyed one of its most useful features for reasons best known to them. What is even more infuriating is the fact that they hadn’t even mentioned in the version 6.19.1.001 update changelog regarding this change. If they had listed it there, then probably most of the users wouldn’t have installed it in the first place, thereby saving them from this trouble. Fortunately, there’s a silver lining among those dark clouds. You could still bring back the Continuous Heart Rate Graph in the Samsung Health App. And this guide shall show you how to do just that. So without further ado, let’s get started.

Bring Back the Continuous Heart Rate Graph in Samsung Health App

To fix this issue, all that you need to do is uninstall the latest version from your device. And then install its earlier build. In more technical terms, we will be uninstalling the Health App version 6.19.1.001 and installing version 6.18.7.005. But since Play Store only holds the latest version on any app, you will have to sideload the older build. In other words, you will have to download the older version from a third-party site. You are free to choose the site of your choice, but I decided to opt for APKMirror. So if you wish to get it from this site, then here’s the direct download link: Samsung Health App version 6.18.7.005. Once downloaded, proceed with the below steps:

Once that is done, you will then have to disable Auto-Updates from Play Store otherwise the app will again be updated to the latest build, thereby nullifying the entire process.

That’s it. These were the steps to bring back the Continuous Heart Rate Graph in the Samsung Health App. What are your views about this change? Is it something that doesn’t bother you much or on a scale of 1 to 10 of the ‘most unnecessary changes ever made’, you will end up giving it an 11?
